Transitions and Changes in Life

They are inevitable in this thing we call LIFE. Don’t be alarmed when something changes because it’s not always a negative thing.

We have all had some changes or transitions in the last few years: the direction of our nation, uncertainty of stability, possibly changes in your health, finances, and even challenges in your own core beliefs and values. But there is always hope!

One of my favorite quotes is “Courage is being scared to death but saddling up anyway.”

Have you ever thought that maybe it’s God asking you to step out, move past your comfort zone, and trust the process?

Fear is our greatest enemy.

It can keep us from our best lives. Fear feeds stagnation and can keep us from taking our first steps forward to new opportunities. Many people live in the self-made prisons of their own fears. One of the worst prisons we find ourselves in is letting our fears of others’ opinions, our possibility of failures, overthinking almost everything, and comparison traps dictate how we live our lives.

Transitions can feel out of control because they can be intense as we step into the unknown. When familiarity is absent, it can be disorienting and even frightening at times. Perhaps it may be time to take the first step into the unknown and begin somewhere. So, start one thought, one day at a time, one action at a time. You got this, you are capable, gifted, and talented. If no one else believes in you then believe in yourself!

Waves of grief and sadness for the past may come and go particularly as we come to terms with the realization that a season has ended. A new one has arrived or begun. What we may experience is less to do with an actual person or dynamic but possibly more related to the fact that the old reality we had become comfortable with, no longer exists and we are now being pushed to begin over on an unknown path that we may not have a clear vision of what the future holds.

Hopefully, as we embrace the transition, new season, and changes. We will also find our dreams and intentions begin to manifest rapidly as we move forward!
